Bourton sits on the flat floor of the Windrush valley, with the river running through the village centre and gravel workings and lakes to the south. Properties in the village itself often have good horizons, while those on the valley sides towards the Rissingtons and Naunton lose more of the sky to rising ground.

The valley floor is level and open, with mature willows and riverside trees forming the main low-level obstruction. Above the village, the ground climbs towards Little Rissington and Clapton, where farms enjoy long uninterrupted views.
Low stone cottages beside the river, twentieth-century housing on the village edge, converted mills and farm buildings, and farmhouses on the higher ground around the Rissingtons.
Tourism dominates the village while the surrounding land is mixed farming. Self-catering cottages and B&Bs form a large part of local demand for reliable guest connectivity.
Single-storey riverside cottages sometimes need extra height to clear neighbouring roofs and willows, so a short pole or high gable mount is common. Farms on the ridge above manage comfortably with a standard wall or barn mount.
Holiday accommodation, cafes and visitor attractions are the main commercial customers here, typically needing separated guest networks and reliable card payments in season.
