Starlink Installation in Hampshire

Hampshire spans open chalk downland, the wooded New Forest and a dense coastal belt. The result is a county where two properties a mile apart can have completely different connectivity and completely different installation requirements.

Installing Starlink in Hampshire

The chalk downs around Winchester, Alton and Petersfield give many properties an unusually open horizon, which makes installation straightforward. The New Forest and the wooded belt towards the Surrey border are the opposite: ancient woodland, high canopy and strict landscape protections. Along the Solent, dense housing and shared access arrangements shape where equipment can go.

Properties we work on

  • Thatched and flint cottages in downland villages
  • Arable farms and large estate holdings in the Test and Meon valleys
  • New Forest smallholdings and equestrian properties
  • Modern detached homes on the edge of market towns
  • Coastal and harbourside properties near Southampton and Portsmouth
  • Rural business units and farm diversification projects

Local installation considerations

  • Thatched roofs where mounting must avoid the covering entirely
  • Flint and soft brick walls needing appropriate fixings
  • New Forest National Park landscape sensitivities
  • High ancient woodland canopy in the south of the county
  • Coastal exposure and salt-air corrosion near the Solent

Coverage

We cover Hampshire from the Berkshire border to the Solent, including the Test and Meon valleys, the South Downs fringe, the New Forest and the towns listed below.

Starlink Installation Hampshire FAQs

Can you install on a thatched property?
Yes, but not on the thatch. We use gable ends, adjoining walls, outbuildings or a pole so the covering is never penetrated or loaded.
Do you install in the New Forest?
Yes. Installations there need particular attention to canopy height and landscape sensitivity, and a pole or outbuilding position is often the answer.
Is coastal corrosion a problem?
It is worth designing for near the Solent. We choose corrosion-resistant fixings and protect cable entries accordingly.
