Starlink Site Survey

A survey answers the questions that decide whether an installation succeeds: where can the dish see, how does the cable get in, and what will the WiFi need to do.

Rural Hampshire property being assessed for a satellite installation

What a survey covers

We assess the sky view from candidate positions, consider seasonal tree growth, review the building fabric and available fixings, plan the cable route and entry point, and look at where the router needs to live to serve the property properly.

  • Obstruction assessment from several candidate positions
  • Mounting options with the trade-offs explained
  • Cable route and entry planning
  • WiFi coverage planning for the building layout
  • A clear written scope so the quote has no surprises in it

Remote assessment from photos

For many properties we can do a large part of the assessment from photographs. Send images of the outside of the property, the proposed dish location, the roof or eaves and where the router will sit, and we can usually scope the job and quote without an initial visit.

Site Surveys FAQs

Can I send photographs for an installation quote?
Yes, and it is the fastest route to an accurate quote. Photos of the property exterior, the proposed dish position, the eaves or roof and the router location cover most of what we need.
Is a survey always needed?
No. Straightforward properties are often quoted from photos and installed in a single visit. Surveys earn their keep on complex, wooded or multi-building sites.
