Guildford is a well-connected town surrounded by properties that are anything but. Once you move out to Shere, Albury, Compton or the lanes below the Hog's Back, line speeds fall away sharply, and the mature tree cover that makes these villages attractive is also the main obstacle to a good satellite installation.

The North Downs run east to west just north of the town, with the Hog's Back ridge and the wooded slopes of the Chantries and Pewley Down close by. Properties along the Tillingbourne valley sit under significant canopy, while houses on the ridge have excellent open aspects.
Victorian and Edwardian houses in the town, substantial detached homes on wooded plots at Merrow and Onslow Village, tile-hung and timber-framed cottages in the villages, and converted barns and farmhouses on the downs.
The Surrey Hills AONB begins immediately south-east of the town. Properties there are frequently on long drives with heavy tree cover and no realistic prospect of a fast fixed line.
Height is the recurring theme in Guildford. Where a wall mount would sit under the canopy, we specify a roof position or a pole to clear it, and we check the summer canopy rather than the winter one.
Rural offices, equestrian yards and small businesses in converted farm buildings around Shere and Albury are regular customers, alongside home workers needing dependable video calls.
Several downland properties are reached by unmade tracks. Let us know about access and parking when you enquire.
