Starlink Installation in Surrey

Surrey looks well connected on a coverage map, yet the county contains some of the most stubbornly slow properties in the South East. Wooded commons, the Greensand and Surrey Hills, and large plots set well back from the road all conspire against fixed-line broadband.

Installing Starlink in Surrey

The North Downs and the Greensand Ridge run across the county, with heavily wooded heathland around Bagshot, Chobham and Frensham and steep, tree-lined slopes around Dorking, Leith Hill and Hindhead. Tree cover, rather than distance, is the dominant obstruction issue in Surrey: mature oak, pine and beech surround many of the county's best properties.

Properties we work on

  • Large detached houses on wooded plots
  • Tile-hung and half-timbered period houses
  • Converted barns and coach houses
  • Country estates and equestrian properties
  • Farm and smallholding buildings on the downs
  • Home offices, studios and garden rooms

Local installation considerations

  • Dense mature tree cover requiring careful positioning and often extra height
  • Deep plots where the house may not be the best dish position
  • Tree preservation orders limiting canopy management
  • Large floor plans and annexes needing designed WiFi coverage
  • Green Belt and AONB sensitivities in the Surrey Hills

Coverage

We cover rural and semi-rural Surrey from the Hampshire border across to the Sussex and Kent boundaries, including the Surrey Hills, the Wey valley and the towns listed below.

Starlink Installation Surrey FAQs

My garden is surrounded by mature trees. Can it still work?
Often, but usually not at ground level. The answer is normally height: a gable, roof or pole position that clears the canopy. We assess this before quoting rather than after installing.
Do I need to remove trees?
Almost never. We look for a position that avoids the canopy instead, which matters in Surrey where many trees are protected.
Can you cover a large house and an annexe?
Yes. Larger Surrey properties usually need access points or a mesh system in addition to the router, and we design that as part of the installation.
